Enrichment of nature
In time Farming for Nature will give a strong impulse to the ecological values and the historic cultural landscape of Twickel. Since there will be more landscape elements, the ecological infrastructure will be reinforced due to the enlargement of corridor and border vegetation. On the nature oriented farms a considerable improvement of ecological quality will be realized, especially in the specific nature objectives with respect to plant species of grasslands and arable lands. Restoration of the water system favors the water related ecosystems on and around the farms. The brook Hagmolenbeek will be reconstructed, so it may meander again and occasionally flood the banks.
